April 28, 2020 Comedian Daniel Ndambuki, better known by his stage name Churchill has responded to claims that he has not been paying comedians.
He said that the claim that he was not paying comedians was invalid.
Churchill took to twitter posting a Bible verse to defend himself from the accusations. And I quote
"One day you will know the truth and the truth shall set you free," End of quote.
Kenyans did not go easy on him, many pressured him and asked him to stop hiding behind bible verses and pay the aggrieved comedians their dues.
Churchill also said that he understands the frustrations that the comedians were going through the lockdown, saying that “ Meme Makers” were now running them out of business.
While his thoughts and prayers are with them during these tough times, Chiruchill asked the government to consider allowing comedians to meet once a week and refresh their jokes just to be sure that they are still relevant.
