Gospel artist Ruth Matete has finally buried her husband at a public cemetery today in Nairobi.
Ruth’s husband, pastor Beloved John Apewajoye succumbed to injuries after a gas accident at their Greatwall apartments home on April 11, 2020. It has taken more than three months to bury her loved one.
Ruth and John were only married for five months when death hit her family. Pastor John left Ruth pregnant with their first child.
Matete’s father, Abel Amunga, has been there through thick and thin supporting her daughter. He’s very supportive and protective of her, and this can be evident from the days of TPF to her marriage; those who know Abel know he’s one of a kind.
Since most of John’s relatives and friends are in Nigeria, they were not able to attend the burial because of the ongoing COVID-19 travel restrictions.
From Ruth’s side, family and friends joined them at the cemetery for the final rites. In attendance were celebrities Pitson and Bire.
From the PPP Family, may Pastor John Rest in Peace and may God grant Ruth Matete Peace.
