Jamaican artist Etana is back with a new project dubbed 'Pamoja'.The highly anticipated 16-track album was released on June 25, 2021, with her 2019 trip to Nairobi, Kenya being the main source of inspiration. The tracks on Etana's new album are a mix of Dancehall, Afrobeat, and Reggae.

Pamoja is an album filled with tracks and collaborations that underline Etana's connection with Africa. The album is named 'Pamoja', which means "together" in Swahili, in this case, togetherness in all essence of collaborating with artists from all over the world. Vocalists from Nigeria, Nandy (Tanzania), Naiboi and Wyre (Kenya), Wezi (Zambia), and the earlier released track 'Proppa' with Stonebwoy (Ghana) as well as the 'Baby O' featuring Dancehall star Vybz Kartel. The Title track Pamoja is a collaboration with Yahsha from Jamaica and Michael Bundi from Kenya.

Other than the Kenyan collaboration in the album, Kenyan fans should look out for Etana's rendition of 'Malaika' originally sang by Fadhili Williams. 'Pamoja' is coming off the heels of her 2020 album titled 'Gemini' and her Grammy-nominated album 'Reggae Forever' in 2018.
