Rapper Khalighraph Papa Jones as known to many has been nominated for the "Best International Flow" a category which will be recognizing acts from across the world.
Khaligraph will be going head to head with Djonga (Brazil), Kaaris (France), Meryl (France), Ms Banks (UK), South Africa's Nasty C and Stormzy from the UK. The BET Hip Hop Awards are scheduled to go down on October 27, 2020. #3 Jones shared the good news via his social media platforms hours after they announced the full list of nominees, requesting his fans to vote for him;
"Yooooooooh, KHALIGRAPH JONES IS A MOVEMENT, My 1st Ever BET Nomination in The Best International Flow Category, The OG Shall be respected🙏🙏🙏 Cc @bet_africa @bet"
He went ahead and said hard Work pays; "I trusted the process. Hii kitu haina haraka. God plans his things accordingly."
He added some advice to other creatives;
"I'm a good testimony of grass to grace, and everyone knows that I have been working hard. People made fun of me when I said I will one day make it to BET. They were laughing at me but even getting a nomination is phenomenal."
To all my fans I love them. BET is not about voting; they had to check a lot of things before they shortlist you." Papa Jones took to him Instagram to appreciate his fans and friends for the support;
"Thank Y'all for the Overwhelming Support Y'all showing Me cause of My BET nomination🙏🏾🙏🏾To everybody who is Asking how they can Vote. Unfortunately,You can't. The Winner will be Picked based on The amount of Work they have been putting in; We are optimistic because honestly, I don't see Anyone who has outworked me on the list 🤣🤣 but No matter the Outcome, We are generally Happy Because East African Hip Hop is Starting to get The Shine it deserves, Kenyan Hip Hop To the World 🔥🔥🔥🔥 The OG shall Be Respected".
