A Nairobi court has ordered the DPP, DCI, and the media to avoid interfering with the pending DJ Evolve-Babu Owino case that has been a matter of public interest for a while now.
This comes to life weeks after DJ Evolve was discharged from the hospital, and the media reached out to him to get his side of the story.
On Wednesday, July 8, the court prohibited the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and the media from engaging in talks regarding the Babu Owino-DJ Evolve case, they also added that on August 11, the matter would be mentioned to establish whether DJ Evolve has since been in a position to record a statement.
Babu Owino, through his lawyer Cliff Ombeta stated before Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate Bernard Ochoi, that the DPP has been exceeding his limits.
This came to light after the DPP supposedly incited Embakasi East residents and other willing Kenyans to come out in a bid to remove him from his parliamentary seat.
