December 2, 2020 Mozzart Bet has invested over KSh 10M in medical equipment intending to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic and better maternal health care.
The firm donated patient monitors, oxygen concentrators, bedside trolleys, macintosh mattresses.
In a statement released they stated;
"The goal of the action is to improve the working conditions of health workers and establish support for the community. This is our way of supporting all medical professionals and thanking them for everything they do. We will continue to help as much as we can."
The betting firm has been operating in Kenya over the last three years.
The firm has so far sent at least Ksh10,000,000 worth of equipment to various hospitals across the country.
Healthcare facilities in Nakuru, Siaya, Kisii, Embu, Nyandarua, Baringo, Bomet, Kisumu, Kakamega and Kitui have received this essential equipment.
The patient monitors will ensure more comfortable and timely monitoring of mothers' vital signs and taking appropriate action for those not within the normal range. Oxygen concentrators will assist health workers in administering oxygen to mothers who need supplemental oxygen, while the patient lockers will help mothers keep their belongings safe while in the wards.
Ngara Health Centre, which is the recent recipient, is a maternal healthcare facility located in Nairobi County.It was reopened on April 26, and it is fully operational, serving a considerable section of Nairobi residents.
