April 24, 2020 With the peace and quiet Animals seem to be enjoying,every moment.this is after a set of new photos from South Africa’s Kruger National Park emerged showing a pride of lions napping on the road.
Park ranger Richard Sowry was out on patrol on Wednesday when he snapped a pride of lions sleeping on a road which would normally be busy with tourists.
He said and I quote “ This lion pride are usually resident on Kempiana Contractual Park, an area Kruger tourists do not see, he tweeted on Wednesday 15th April .
“This afternoon they were lying on the tar road just outside of Orpen Rest Camp.” End of quote.
Like many countries Kruger National Park has been shut since the 25th March 2020 as part of South Africa’s nationwide lockdown to combat coronavirus.
South African President Cyril Ramaphosa on April 8 extended the country’s strict lockdown to combat the coronavirus until the end of April.
