January 10, 2021 Trevor Noah is ready to move into a new home after purchasing a mansion in Los Angeles' tony Bel-Air neighborhood. This happens about four months after he sold his previous home. He has bounced back with a real estate upgrade in the same neighborhood.
The property records reveal the South African and "Daily Show" host has dropped a whopping $27.5 million on another 'Bel Air mansion'. The two houses are only about a mile apart, though the latest acquisition is considerably more private and even more aggressively contemporary than Trevor's first L.A. home.
Completed in 2014, the blocky structure was designed by Harvard-trained architect Mark Rios as a personal residence for himself and his husband, fertility specialist Dr Guy Ringler. The couple originally listed the 11,000-square-foot mansion in early 2018 for $36 million. The price tag dropped to $29.5 million. Then Noah came along at a $27.5 million sale price likely representing a financial win for Rios, who acquired the .97-acre hillside property back in 1996 for $650,000.
Noah's new home features an eye-catching boxy white design with copious windows for plenty of natural light. In contrast to the brilliant white exterior, the home's interior features' heavy, dark timbers' inspired by rooms Rios when he had visited in Japan.
The 11,000 square-foot home includes six bedrooms and 11 bathrooms. In contrast with the dominating hardwood design, the bedrooms are carpeted and feature expansive views of the area. The bathrooms are decorated with marble and some feature exits to the rooftop area.
Noah's new mansion was built with entertainment in mind, and its relaxing rooftop area features plenty of bar seating and a sofa surrounding a fire pit for chilly nights.
Congratulations Trevor well deserved!
