January 7, 2021 Comedian Mulamwah is back on Twitter three months after his account was suspended following an ugly spat with critics who later ganged up and reported his account for spamming.
Announcing his comeback, the Comedian who has been fighting with the majority of his 270,000 followers over his jokes, was more than happy to be back.
He wrote;
“Officially back on Twitter, my account had been suspended for about three months since October, but I’m glad we are back on after filling several appeals. Let’s keep the fire burning, konkiiii,”
Kenyans reported his account claiming that he was “boring” and not “funny”. A fan jokingly incited others to report the account for spamming, a thing that avalanched into a huge movement big enough to convince Twitter the account was a bot.
The Comedian wrote on other social media channels;
“So people have been ganging up and reporting my Twitter account, it has now been suspended at 270K followers, I can’t access it, I can’t post client’s work. I just don’t know how my failure is linked to your success. Life is never a seesaw that if I go down, you go up.”
Mulamwah’s relationship with his fans has been a really peculiar one. A love-hate union that usually leaves Mulamwah stressed and in some cases, despaired.
At one point, the Comedian even contemplated quitting comedy because of ruthless trolls from his fans but was convinced otherwise by The Kenya Films and Classification Board (KFCB) boss Ezekiel Mutua and several other comedians.
