Ugandan pop star Bobi Wine who goes by his government name 'Robert Nyagulanyi Ssentamu' aged 38 is also a parliament member in the Ugandan government for kyadondo county east constituency wakio district in Uganda central district.

He also leads the people's power, our power movement in opposition to President Yoweri Museveni of which he officially announced his candidacy for the 2021 Uganda presidential election.

However, Bobi revealed that he received information about an attack and kidnap that was to be upon his wife and children justifying to fly his immediate family out of Uganda.

In a statement, the parliament member reiterated that his family has been living in fear for the past three years after he announced to challenge president Museveni in the slated 14th January 2021 election polls.

"That is why, therefore, when I received information of pending physical attacks on me, my wife and kidnap of our children, friends in the diaspora reached out to us, offered to host them for a while! That does not mean that my wife or I are any safer by remaining around. But our effort is to ensure they don't kidnap one of these minors and try to use them to coerce us into subjugation!" He said.
