Once again, Diamond Platnumz is proving how versatile he is. Congolese rhumba maestro Koffi Olomide is in Tanzania to work with Simba
Olomide shared a sneak peek of their upcoming hit, alerting fans to get ready for their collaboration.
"Already in the studio to make u good with @diamondplatnumz You won't be disappointed."
Speaking to Wasafi after landing, Olomide said he is pleased to work with Platnumz, whom he described as the King of East African Music.
"I'm happy to meet the King of the country. I'm here to work with Diamond to do something to amaze Africa and the world, and I'm sure it will be a very big success. My language is music, his language is music, so expect something big."
On the other hand, Diamond said that working with Olomide for him is a privilege he can't take for granted.
"Koffi is an icon of Africa and the world and having him here is a pleasure. Kwangu mimi ukiniambia Mwanzamuziki wa Afrika ambaye ni Icon ni Koffi, na leo kuwa naye Tanzania na kuhakikisha kitu kibwa kinakuja ni faraja sana kwangu."
In fact, after receiving him when he arrived in Tanzania on Saturday, he announced that the world is not even ready for what he has been cooking.
"it was More than Honor receiving the Godfather, King & our African Icon, Boss ya Mboka @koffiolomide_officiel Last night.... Trust me! the world is not ready for my Album!🙏🏼"
Diamond has always wanted to prove to the world that he is not afraid of pushing his limits and is still ready to break boundaries. This year he wowed many when Alicia Key's featured him in her Album, and showered the Bongo star with praises for his unique talent.
It is not clear when the collabo will be dropping, but all I know is that it will be another groundbreaker for the two.
