Singer, actor, and Tik Tok guru Alvan Gatitu has repaid a watchman going by Wafula Kizito, who helped him after his landlord locked him out of his house to rent arrears in the middle of the night.
Activist Ndungu Nyoro explained how, days after helping him find a place to sleep, Alvan met with Kizito and asked him to name anything that would boost his income, and he expressed his desire to own a motorbike.
Alvan thanked him for helping him out, and he bought him the motorbike he desired. He helped Kizito open a bank account and boosted him with cash for his wife also to run a small business.
Kizito told his side of the story, said that from the way he was talking on the phone, Alvan sounded depressed and that was when he offered him a place to sleep, and that was not all, the next morning they went to his home in Kawangware when they prepared breakfast.
“Kesho yake tulikuwa tu tunapiga story kama watu wanajuana. Tukatembea pamoja hadi kwa kanyumba kangu Kawangware. Tulipofika kwangu tukajipanga na breakfast. Alitaka tukae hadi afternoon ndio aweze kupanga siku yake lakini haingewezekana kwa vile nilikuwa nimeitiwa kazi ya kuchomelea chuma za kanisa mahali fulani. Nilingoja tu amalize ku-charge simu halafu tukaondoka, kila mtu akaelekea zake. Lakini aliniitisha number za simu,”
About a week ago Alvan had shared a story about how he was kicked out of his house and Kenyans came together and raised a total of Ksh. 2.1 million in a span of two days according to Ndungu Nyoro.
Kenya Film Classification Board Director Ezekiel Mutua was at the forefront when he contributed Ksh. 20,000.
