Renowned Kenyan artist Stivo Simple Boy has for the first time landed on the negative side of drama since his rise to fame.

After he dropped his single jam on YouTube, the Mihadarati crooner was accused of stealing the Mapenzi ya Pesa song from comedians Ekebe Mimics.

The comedians posted a video of them performing the same song on Churchill show a year back to their Instagram account.

The posted video of their performance also had Stivo Simple Boys song at the end to compare if the two songs were similar.

They accompanied the post with a caption that says, 'Composed this new song before Stivo Simple Boy😂😂#we lead they follow🔥🔥'.

Simple Boy has since remained mum to the accusations, as many took to social media to call out artists who use other peoples art without recognizing their efforts.

The song, which was a collabo between Stivo and Byzzo The Baddest, gives us an energetic performance and delivery of well-composed lyrics that solidify Stivo's position as an entertainer in today's music scene.

The song has been received well by fans who reiterated the message in the song in the comment section. In just a few hours, ' Mapenzi Ya Pesa' is already trending at number 44 on YouTube with over 98,000 views.
