Sassy songstress Nadia Mukami has finally dropped her new banger titled Kolo. The song which features Kenya RnB star Otile Brown is her 14th studio single and the 1st track off her upcoming album.
This comes after a lot of anticipation from fans, Kolo was trending at number 2 on Twitter an hour after its release and has more than 300k views in under 24hrs.
Produced by the talented producer Vicky Pon Dis, Kolo is an Afro-pop with Bongo and Kenyan Coast Music elements. This love song's beat is a classic and provides a great base for Nadia and Otile's impressive vocals. Kolo draws inspiration from the legendary 90s Kenyan band, The Mushrooms.
Both singers flaunt their vocal capabilities, and Nadia perfectly nails the hook making it very catchy. Nadia wrote the lyrics and Otile ooze metaphors. The song celebrates the Swahili language and showcases the singers impressive rhyming and songwriting skills.
Kolo's colourful visuals were directed by none other than director Hanscana. However, the music video's highlight is Nadia's and Otile's eclectic sense of style and the beautiful African dances by both the male and female vixens.
Nadia has been on a steady rise since her debut single ''Kesi' ' and has continued to gain fans from Kenya and beyond. Her star quality is scarce, and she has won several awards. Currently, she has an MTV Base 2021 nomination for the Fanbase Category.
This song is an original production that deserves a slot in your playlist. Its positive vibes make it a good choice for a happy event.
