Kenyans Chess champion Mehul Gorilla has called out comedian Elsa Majimbo for lying about chess. Mehul, who describes himself as a short story writer and Chessplayer on his Twitter bio, is the Kenya National champion for the years 2014 and 2019 asked this in a tweet.

"Which national title did this Elsa Majimbo ever win? Under 8, under 12, under 14, under 16, under 18, overall ladies national title?"

Adding, "I have never seen her play in a local event. And I am a regular. Her name has never popped up."

In a past interview with Netflix, the comedian said she had won 15 chess games showing off her various medals and trophies, which she has acquired over the years. The young lad revealed that she started playing chess relatively young and won her first tournament at 14 years old.

"My chess technique is very quick and very rushed. I'm not a patient person," adding, "Chess is not a game you go in when you're good; it's a game you go in when you're the best."

She continued, "Chess and my career are very similar; in both of them it's all about the long game."
