Internet teen sensation Elsa Majimbo has made it to the cover of the latest issue of the Teen Vogue magazine of Young Hollywood Class of 2021. The 19-year-old comedian shared the news on her social media platforms, saying she was so proud to have done her first cover with Teen Vogue.
"My first magazine cover is with Teen Vogue !!! My first magazine cover is with Teen Vogue !!!! bury me now !!!," she wrote
The Kenyan comedian had recently secured herself a youtube award from her role model Lily Singh as the 'Best New Comedy Creator of 2020'. After her trademark snappy remarks, this was after wearing sunglasses and eating from a packet of chips went viral.
Majimbo accepted the award emotionally, noting that she had not identified herself as a comedian. "This is so nice, best comedian to come out of 2020. This is so amazing because I didn't even consider myself a comedian."
Majimbo is featured alongside American actress Charli D'Amelio, fellow comedian Ziwe Fumudoh, American dancer Michael Le and US-based rapper Lil Yachty.
Explaining, Teen Vogue wrote, "This year's Young Hollywood issue is focused on the creators who kept us entertained. People at the front of the culture, pushing us to think, laugh, dance, and cry. The #TVYoungHollywood Class of 2021 has arrived."
Elsa has recently featured on the Netflix show, Strong Black Lead, where she talked about her struggles of not getting worthy opportunities because of her dark skin. Congratulations Elsa Majimbo!
