Celebrated Kenyan Journalist Larry Madowo has once again appeared on the list of Top 100 Most Influential Africans 2020.
The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) North America Correspondent took to social media to celebrate the achievement. In 2019, New African Magazine named him among 100 Most Influential Young Africans in their Africa Youth Awards.
This year for the second time the magazine has recognized Larry among influential Africans.
In a post he shared on social media, Larry said he felt encouraged after being recognized among great individuals on the list;
“I’m so stoked to be recognized among such great Africans for the second time! Thank you” 🙏🏾
Others named in the list include Burna Boy, Afua Hirsch, Aisha Yesufu, John Boyega, Michaela Coel, Sadio Mane, Strive Masiyiwa, Tidjane Thiam, Vanessa Nakate, Vera Songwe, William Kentridge. To mention just a few,barely two months ago, Larry Madowo had the privilege of interviewing Bill Gates. It is not easy to bag such an interview, but nothing is stopping him.
He may have gone through a small bump on the road this year when he decided to leave New York after cases of corona virus victims were rising at an alarming rate.
