Kenyan singer Otile Brown has been ranked the most-watched artiste in Kenya by American Billboard, a great digital charting and award scheme platform in America.
On Wednesday, 4th June, Billboard released a list of the most-watched homegrown artists in 11 countries across Africa.
The American entertainment media brand has been venturing into the African market and ranking artists according to how many Youtube views they receive locally in a year.
Otile Brown was closely followed by Kenya’s Boy Band Sauti Sol, then Willy Paul, Boondocks Gang, and finally rapper Khaligraph Jones.
In our neighboring countryTanzania, Diamond Platnumz is the country’s most-watched homegrown artist. According to Billboard, Diamond has garnered over 53 million views Locally in a span of one year.
Followed closely Harmonize, Rayvanny, Alikiba, and Aslay. In Nigeria, the list includes Naira Marley, Davido, Burna Boy, Mercy Chinwo, and Kizz Daniel.
