14 KENYAN ACTS HAVE BEEN NOMINATED FOR RHEMA AWARDS EAST AFRICA

The year has kicked off on a high note with most kenyan entertainers scoring various numbers of nominations in the gospel industry.

This time round, 14 Kenyan gospel acts are up for a number of awards, after Rhema Awards East Africa released a list of competitive nominees under different categories. The various categories include Guardian Angel, Size 8, Juliani, Evelyn Wanjiru, Mercy Masika, Kaki Mwihaki, Erick Smith, David Wonder, DJ Sadic, Ben Cyco, Agundabweni, Tim, Rotadee, Whitney Joy and Kambua.

The various categories from above selections range from Best junior gospel act, gospel song of the year to best female and male continental gospel act.

Evelyn Wanjiru (Best female gospel artist, best gospel praise song, best gospel album/ep) and Guardian Angel (Best gospel worship song, gospel song of the year, best gospel praise song ) are the few Kenyan acts who bagged multiple nominations.

For the neighbouring country uganda, the likes of Sam Lucas who is popularly known mostly as Levixone has been nominated in four categories.

The categories include , Best Male Gospel Artist (East African), Video of the year E.Africa (Give me love ) alongside Exodus, Best inspirational song E.Africa alongside Beza Deborah from Rwanda and Best choreographed 2021 Gospel Music video E.Africa alongside the Victorious Team.

The polls open till March 30, 2021 with the gala set to be held on Easter Sunday, April 3rd, 2021 with the venue yet to be disclosed.
